I believe that it is very important to give back to the black communities in which we came from, but to do so in a meaningful way. Organizations like charities, are merely ineffective short term solutions to systemic problem. We must encourage our leaders to support true community building endeavors, so that we no longer become dependent on government/charity handouts, and truly be able to empower ourselves, and those around us facing similar struggles.

A walk in the right direction. I truly believe that we must invest that which has been invested. So many times we fall short as a people. We get riches and forget about the hand that helped to feed and support us. The atittude is one of self service and arrival. We disconnect the pipeline leaving our communities destitute and broken. Where are the leaders of today? The old politics is not what we need now.I appreciate how we’ve over come but now we all need to come up!
